The proposition
An agent that can act across tools, accounts, and subagents needs more than a chat stop button. It needs a control contract that contains new work, exposes side effects, preserves state, transfers authority, and makes recovery auditable.
Agentic Pause develops that contract in public. The four-verb vocabulary—pause, inspect, decide, resume—is proposed language for product teams and operators, not a claim of cross-vendor adoption.
What we publish
The control desk publishes implementation patterns, incident field notes, readiness tests, protocol drafts, and critiques of approval theater. Each piece must distinguish a useful control from a reassuring interface.
The project is vendor-neutral in method, not neutral about the conclusion: autonomy without credible interruption is unfinished engineering.
The standard
Factual claims use a dated ledger built from primary safety and risk-management sources. Product proposals are labeled as drafts, and a public safety statement is never treated as proof that side effects are reversible.
The site does not certify systems. Its interactive audit is illustrative until backed by a formal test suite, governance process, and independent verification.
